The Gist of GPS

I have learned a lot since I joined my school’s GT class. One thing I found interesting is how a GPS works. It takes four GPS satellites to find your location. Each satellite sends out radio waves that communicate with the GPS receiver. Radio waves from the satellites are a 3D globe shape. The radio waves overlap. When three radio waves overlap, it’s called triangulation. In a matter of seconds you have been located!
