Hello, my name is Cobe, and I am going to tell all of you guys what “acid rain” is! First off, acid rain is caused when pollution is in the air and causes the “PH” Levels to go down. “What are PH levels?” you ask? PH levels measure the amount of acidity, or acid, there is in the air.
Now this isn’t the kind of acid that melts your skin off, it feels like regular water to you. But when it touches certain stones made out of talc, for example, it can BURN holes in the stone. Did you know the Taj Mahal is made completely of talc to give it’s white color. But since acid rain falls on the Taj Mahal, it is in pretty bad shape. This is not good at all.
Do you know what we can do to stop acid rain? Stop polluting! Walk or bikes to places more often, recycle, but most important is do not drive a gas guzzling car everyday! Walk to places or bike like I said!
Well that is about it. If you can do all of what I said… you will help the environment.
